ALL students have a right to aspire to academic excellence

In this article Dr Chris Sarra writes about how “Antiquated notions of Aboriginality must be challenged in the classroom for the sake of our children”.

If you read this article and replace every reference to Aboriginality with Disability then the article reads just as true.

ALL students must be valued, included and allowed to ‘aim high’, regardless of heritage, (dis)abilities or any other preconceptions which may abound.  There is no alternative, nor valid excuse.
