switch access for iDevices… from those in the know!

INKY ED OUTSOURCED? well, just for today…

  1. Because I haven’t yet managed to get my hands on the “APPlicator” yet (but plan to).
  2. Because Jane’s Blog is one you should be visiting regularly in any case.
  3. Because Jane has provided a great review  of the Pretorian APPlicator.
  4. And, because Jane & Alex have compiled THE comprehensive list of switch accessible apps.

Here’s two links you shouldn’t miss.

Things to play on your iPod or iPhone

iTunes & Podcasts
iTunes it is just a treasure trove of goodies.  From movies, film clips, podcasts, music and iPhone applications the choices are endless.

I particularly like poking around in the Podcasts sections to see just what we can find (for free).

Our latest favourite is Hooked on Phonics

Hooked on Phonics

Great songs with cool graphics and lyrics.  I’ve had the tune to Big Pig in my head and it isn’t driving me crazy.

For anyone NOT from the USA you will need to ‘cope’ with the fact that ‘ZED’ is pronounced ‘ZEE’.

I can live with it – there will be worse things in life than if Mac starts ‘spouting zees at me’.

In fact I have to admit, as a child, I really couldn’t understand the dogged fascination with ‘zed’ – it clearly didn’t rhyme with the Alphabet Song, I used to wonder… “were we just a nation of ‘zee snobs'”?

For those interested, here’s some reading on the ‘Zed-Zee issue’ from Bill Casselman’s Canadian Word of the Day site.

Hooked on Phonics is in all these locations:

I haven’t checked the blog/facebook/twitter/youtube/blip tv out in any depth but plan to.  You can find them at www.hookedonphonics.com
